Is it night already? No wonder I feel alive
The moment has come to walk without a destination
Of the capital sins I've complied with five
No need for a map when you've got divination
The wind blows the words of ancient poets
Making me remember the things towards which I incline
Better still, the things that my body covets
But nothing is better than her blood in a glass of wine
I want to sit at the top of a tree
And drink the screams of wayward ghosts
Let the wind kiss my neck, and do it for free
Whilst the guardians of my heart stay at their posts
Solitude is my eternal companion
And death is seeking me out with supernatural cries
She well knows that I've befriended Carrion
And I too kiss sleeping children as each artery dries
What I always wanted has driven me mad
And sometimes what I fancy is under the sun (damned)
The moonlight knows this and gets jealous and sad
But I know that if I perish she'll be holding my hand
It is night still and I keep on yearning
The roses I've plucked insist on dying
Amongst the dark clouds I've been hiding and burning
And there are neither halos nor horns, only laughing and crying
The bells of a church manipulated by Cupid
Tell on the proximity of the spoiled little star
My godess does not yield, carless and stupid
Before the powerful assassin, who is not very far
I still have a few everlasting moments
For the blood in my tears to reach my fangs
I'd get lost in feelings and comments
So I smile at the executioner whilst my offspirng he hangs
The future is uncertain, although I forsee no cane
And tomorrow I'll walk amongst the dead as I did yesternight
Believe in me the fearful and fear me the sane
You're my pleasure and I your immortal knight
So you've come to wake up the sheep?
I shall return to curse you, my dear
Would you please follow me to my keep?
For alas, inquisitor, I shall always be here
